Chicken Coop — Built around egg collection and cleaning out

A purpose-built wooden coop designed around the two jobs you do most: getting the eggs out and cleaning the thing. Latching doors and a ridge vent handle security and airflow, which are the two variables that decide whether a coop works.

Worth knowing

Ventilation matters more than most first-time keepers expect — a sealed coop holds moisture and ammonia, and that is what causes respiratory problems in a flock. The ridge vent lets that escape at the peak while the latching doors keep predators out.
