Arch Building Options

Foundations

Concrete slab, continuous footing, pier, or engineered alternatives sized to your soil and frost depth.

How it works

The foundation is the one component that is genuinely local. Frost depth, bearing capacity and drainage vary street to street, and the anchor design that transfers the arch's thrust into the ground depends on all three. Your stamped drawings specify the anchor requirement; a local contractor sizes and pours to it.

Key points

  • Concrete slab-on-grade
  • Continuous perimeter footing
  • Pier and grade beam
  • Frost-depth dependent — verify locally
